Chapter 205 Love and Hurt
- Upon backing out of Noah’s room, Christopher noted that his daughters were sound asleep after Grace tucked them to bed. They were all sleeping in Kayleigh’s room with their heads snuggled close together, and Christopher wanted to caress their face due to how adorable they were. He figured—not without a sense of dejection—that his daughters were the best, while his son would only see him as his nemesis.
- He entered the room in want of kissing their faces, only to have Grace pull him back out of the room. She whispered as they backed out silently, “Shh, don’t wake them.”
- “Honey, I’m hurt.” Christopher held her in his arms with much grief.
