Chapter 11 The Incident Back Then

• “Hahaha!” Jake laughed as he escaped out the door.
• Christopher got up and walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window in irritation, looking down at the crowd below that was bustling about like ants. The incident that had occurred seven years ago was the biggest shame in his life. After waking up the next day and seeing the mess littered across the floor, the first thing he did was to check the hotel’s surveillance cameras. Unfortunately, he was informed that the surveillance equipment had been destroyed, and all of the data could not be retrieved.
• Later, he finally discovered that the person who drugged him turned out to be Bethany. Hence, he had always assumed that the woman he slept with that night was Bethany. Due to that, he had entered the Knight Group after graduating from university and desperately exacted his revenge by suppressing the Johnson Group. However, Bethany had brought Molly home three years ago, and the paternity test indicated that Molly was his biological daughter. When he interrogated Bethany about it, she had adamantly insisted that she knew nothing. It’s been seven years. Even so, I still haven’t managed to discover who the girl I met that night was.
