• I couldn't believe my eyes as I stared at Mia's name flashing on Giovanni's phone. My heart raced, and my mind was flooded with questions. Why was she calling him?
• I don't know what was wrong with me but I couldn't shake off the feeling of possessiveness that washed over me. Why was I even feeling this way? After what I found out tonight, why do I care who Giovanni is with? I bite my lips and remembered the way he begged me that night and professed his love to me. Now that I think about it, was it even real? Everything seemed like a lie now. I rub my hands on my face.
