Chapter 27

• Giovanni leads me out of the bathroom. Clark gets up as he sees us approach the place. I still had doubts about him and everything that was going on but I would trust Giovanni, it seemed like he was the only person I could trust right now. He is after all my husband. He was the only family I had left.
• "Did she call the police?" He asks. The tension in the air is palpable, and I can't help but wonder what Clark knows and what Giovanni is still hiding from me.
• "I'll take her home," Giovanni says to him, he nods his head and looks at me. "Take care, Emily," He says to me as I and Giovanni walk out of the restaurant with Giovanni holding me so close, I thought he would crush me as I entered his car, the bodyguards scoured every corner and when they were sure that we weren't being watched, we journeyed back to his home.
