• No longer able to withstand the heartache caused by the scorn of people who judged her unworthy of being with Gery, Eve no longer dared to maintain her relationship with Gery, so she chose to stay away from the man she loved, even though her heart rejected and screamed about her decision. Still, mentally, she was not strong enough to face the attitude of people who did not like her relationship with Gery.
• To calm her shaken self, Eve decided to take some time off. After break time, Eve went to HRD to ask for leave without Gery knowing. After receiving her departure, Eve resumed her work. Even though her heart was not okay, Eve still did her job well, as a form of professionalism, and tried to ignore her coworkers' strange stares and sneers.
• If only Eve had the courage, she would shout and ask them to stop sneering at her. However, Eve realized that even if she dared, it would only put her in a corner, and they would sneer at her even more. Shutting up and letting them sneer at her at will is the best choice for now, even though she has to endure the tightness in her chest because the scathing words they throw are too painful.
