• "Hmm ... already being that close to the boss, hm?" sneered Dave when he deliberately paralleled Eve's steps on the way to her car in the parking lot at workout time.
• "Uh, Dave? What do you mean?" asked Eve, not understanding what Dave meant.
• "You had lunch outside with Mr. Gery earlier? And you're still acting like you two are enemies. Tsk, how dramatic!" Dave continued to sneer while snorting in annoyance.
