Chapter 7 An Egg Against The Stone
- When Veronica Parker went back, she made milk for the children, and then sat in the corner of the kitchen and wondered if she would resolutely resign after she went there tomorrow.
- Would her resignation provoke his anger? What were the consequences?
- Nick Cage's position of power was enough to frighten people.
- She was just a little civilian who was nothing. Was not she just an egg bumping against a stone?
- Kay Tours has made it very clear that she could not resign.
- "Oh." Veronica Parker sighed deeply.
- "Mom?"
- Veronica Parker looked up and watched the six small cute little kids come in with the bottle in their arms. They walked up to Veronica Parker and she squeezed them into her arms.
- Veronica Parker reached out and hugged their soft bodies. "What's the matter?"
- "Mom, has anyone ever bullied you?" When Cathy smiled and asked, her little face was serious.
- "Mom, I am always the best, I want to play strange whoosh!" Peter waved his fist.
- "Mom, I'm going to play weird whoosh, too!" Julie climbed up, put his arm around Veronica Parker's neck, and hung it.
- "Mom, I want it, too." Josh spoke quietly and weakly.
- "Mom, don't be afraid." Lily with two lovely ponytails hugged Veronica Parker's arm.
- Daniel didn't say a word but silently held out his little fist in front of Veronica Parker.
- Veronica Parker was slightly stupefied and immediately understood what he meant so she also held out his fist and ran into Daniel's small one.
- "Mom!" Daniel has a firm look on his face. He could not say anything yet, so he replaced it with a "hmmm". It's adorable.
- Veronica Parker smiled, "Come on, thank you, Daniel. You are all mom's babies."
- When she looked at the lovely children who were all so sensible, Veronica Parker's heart was warm.
- It also gave her strong courage, anyway, as long as she works well then she was no different from other employees of KING Group.
- The more frightened she would be, the easier it was to be exposed.
- Rest's bed was a sleeping matter because Veronica Parker was worried that the children would fall out of bed at night. The sleeping mat was large from the ground, and Veronica Parker slept with the children.
- On the sleeping mat, the picture of an adult with six small ones was really cute.
- Although it was not cold during the day, it would be chilly at night.
- Six small kids were like six warm water bags. Veronica Parker was very relieved to use them.
- The next day, Veronica Parker went to the highest authority floor to report for duty.
- The secretary department was under Kay Tours' department. Kay Tours led her to the conference room and told her that her job was to manage and serve the CEO conference room on this floor.
- The conference room was large, bigger than her apartment, with a long conference table. There were green plants on the table.
- Also, the high-tech projection was needed in meetings.
- When she came out of the conference room, Kay Tours took her to the secretarial department. He then introduced her to the people in the secretarial department and then went to work.
- Veronica Parker felt that the secretarial department was very serious as if they were living in the tense atmosphere of the college entrance examination, with no one talking or deserting.
- The phone on the table rang at 9: 30 and Kay Tours called. "There's a meeting at 10:00."
- "Yes!" Veronica Parker immediately got up and went to the conference room.
- When everything was ready in the conference room, she stood at the door and waited.
- From a distance, she saw all the high-level officials coming. Veronica Parker hurriedly opened the door and all the high-level people went in.
- Was there no one back there?
- What was the closing time?
- Not long after closing, she saw Nick Cage in a black suit, with a tall and straight figure, and a strong aura.
- Veronica Parker immediately tightened her body as she noticed that Nick Cage was coming towards her, and her breathing stopped.
- Nick Cage's tall figure stood in front of her, shrouded in shadow, wrapping Veronica Parker's slender body densely.
- Veronica Parker looked down, her heart almost stopped, and Oblivious slowed in any background, including her suffocating breath.
- Kay Tours opened the door of the conference room before, Veronica Parker realized it, but it was too late.
- When the door opened, Nick Cage brushed past her and entered the conference room.
- The wind formed by the rising air swept across her face and was scorching.
- "go in." Kay Tours said.
- Veronica Parker remembered what Kay Tours said this morning that she needed to be inside all the time during the meeting.
- She reacted and hurried into the conference room.
- When you get in, stand on the side of the projector.
- Sitting at the top of the long-line conference table sat the senior, Nick Cage, who leaned lazily against the black seat, lifting his legs and crossing his legs without losing the sense of awe. The line of sight swept faintly over those at the top, and the momentum was powerful.
- Sitting next to him is Kay Tours.
- After the meeting began, as the only Veronica Parker, in the conference room who did not need to attend the meeting, his attention shifted to Nick Cage.
- That kind of reserved and powerful symbol of aura, what on earth was wrong with her at that time and would think that he was a cowherd?
- Alas, she is blind to find a boyfriend and a cowherd.
- During the whole meeting, Veronica Parker pressed the projection to play it with the remote control, and nothing else was done.
- The meeting didn't end until 12:00.
- Veronica Parker left the door open and the top brass went out one after another.
- Kay Tours closed the computer and got up and went out.
- Nick Cage was the only one left in the conference room, and he sat in his seat and had no intention of getting up.
- Even the deep, sharp black eyes were looking at her.
- Veronica Parker's heart beats faster and his eyes twinkle.
- He. Why is he looking at me like that? What does he want?
- "close the door. Come here." Nick Cage's voice is as low as magnetic, sweet, but frightening.
- Veronica Parker hesitated, closed the door and walked carefully to a meter away from Nick Cage.
- "excuse me, what can I do for you?" She asked in a low voice.
- Nick Cage said nothing and stood up.
- Veronica Parker, who was so nervous, turned around and ran away.
- Nick Cage stretched out her long arm and caught her slender waist.
- "Ah!" Veronica Parker shouted in horror, then flashed his eyes, lightened, and was thrown down on the conference table, which was still in a serious atmosphere just now.
- Before she knew it, Nick Cage's long and oppressive body pressed over, one hand on the side of her ear, as if to imprison Veronica Parker, frozen and unable to move, looking at him nervously, "what are you doing, Mr. Cage,?"
- "deliberately dangling in front of me to get my attention?" Nick Cage's black eyes narrowed and dangerous, asked.
- "." Veronica Parker was amazed, his brain buzzing, "I. I didn't! "
- Although I ran into Nick Cage three times in a short time, it had nothing to do with her. How can I say she did it on purpose?
- "the means of refusing to return the welcome are of no use."
- Veronica Parker looked at him with a question mark on her face, and she refused to welcome him.
- Nick Cage's hand grabbed her soft waist and hit him with a force--
- "Ah!" Veronica Parker was flushed.
- "do you remember something?"
- "I. I don't know anything, Mr. Cage,. I'm just a clerk of the KING Group. Please don't do this. This is the conference room. " How could this man do this to her in a place like this.
- A serious conference room, and even people will come in at any time.
- As soon as the door is pushed open, you can see clearly what's going on inside. It's shameless!
- Veronica Parker struggled to get up and was pinched on his chin by Nick Cage's fingers, his cool, tight, well-edged face pressed down and approaching, his voice as low as dumb. "Don't you know?" Do you believe that I will strip you naked here so that you can find a sense of familiarity, huh? "
