Chapter 6 The Name Sounds Like A Baby

  • Veronica Parker was a newcomer and she did not know him. But Sheila knew, "Hello, Minister Hutt."
  • "And this is? Is she new here? " Martin Hutt pointed to Veronica Parker and looked at her from head to toe.
  • Veronica Parker responded, "Yes."
  • "What's your name?"
  • "Veronica Parker."
  • "Well, the name sounds like a baby."
  • Veronica Parker has a professional smile on her face.
  • "I'll treat you to dinner tonight. Veronica Parker, you come with me." With that, Martin Hutt left.
  • Veronica Parker was amazed. She was just a newcomer. Why did he want to go to dinner with her? She was not the one who had to be there, was she?
  • "This man is Martin Hutt, minister of personnel, and a branch relative of the Cage family. If you have the ability to take it down for this man, he is also a rich man, who can be regarded as married into a wealthy family." Sheila said.
  • "What if I don't go to that dinner he was talking about?"
  • "No? I want to go but he doesn't like me yet. What do you think? Not such a good opportunity? If you don't go, then you will just let your opportunities pass like this because if you are lucky enough, you will get out of here. " Sheila said.
  • Veronica Parker didn't see it. This one was also ambitious.
  • Veronica Parker only wanted to raise her six little babies, and no rich people have anything to do with her.
  • Besides, people who liked her would not be too scared to run to the moon when they hear that she has six children.
  • At the end of the day, the front desk phone rang. Sheila answered it, put it down, and said, " Veronica Parker, Minister Hutt asked you to come to his office."
  • "What does he need?"
  • "You'll know when you go."
  • Veronica Parker had never been outside the first floor and asked to find Minister Hutt's office.
  • After she had knocked on the door and went in, Minister Hutt smiled as soon as he saw her. "Are you coming?"
  • "What does Minister Hutt want with me?"
  • "Wait a minute, you will take the elevator with me and take my car in the parking lot. I'll take you to buy some clothes and change before we eat."
  • Veronica Parker refused, "Sorry, Minister, I want to go home early."
  • "You're not going?"
  • "Yes, I'm just a newcomer and I don't want to go to dinner with you."
  • Martin Hutt laughed at Veronica Parker's naivety. " Veronica Parker, you are just a receptionist. I think highly of you. You burned high incense in your last life, so don't be ungrateful."
  • "Thank you, Minister Hutt, for your new opinion, but I really don't want to go." Veronica Parker said, then she turned around, and went out.
  • Veronica Parker went to the elevator with a black line on her face. This man really thought he had to give her stinky money. She refused him and dragged him like 25,000 to 80,000, rubbish!
  • Veronica Parker's fingers were pulled away before she touched the elevator button.
  • "I'll give you another chance to think about it, and you have to think it over this time, or I'll make you worse off than a dog in KING!"
  • Veronica Parker was so angry that her anger was burning vaguely.
  • She has no money and power, but she would not be bullied for anything.
  • Ah, by the way, Sheila said that if she was serious, she would get out of here. Just as it happened, there was no need to hand in any resignation letter. She could not wait.
  • "Is that a sneer on your face?" Martin Hutt asked.
  • "Minister Hutt, are you blind? What is it if it's not a sneer? " Veronica Parker said.
  • Martin Hutt could not believe what he heard. Was she scolding him?
  • "I'm not talking about you. Don't go around flirting with girls like a stallion just because you have a little money. Do you think the more girls the better? I think you're more like a duck!" Veronica Parker looked at him up and down and said, "If a guy like you hangs a card, he won't make much money in one night."
  • "You!" Martin Hutt had never been scolded like this in his life, and his face was livid with anger.
  • And Veronica Parker's eyes looked at him brightly, as if to say that he needed to get lost.
  • They did not know who laughed.
  • Martin Hutt turned around and angrily wanted to say that, someone who didn't know whether to live or die was laughing, but he froze when he saw who was laughing.
  • Veronica Parker's blocked line of sight suddenly opened up, and her eyes were stunned by the owner's dark figure.
  • Not far away, Nick Cage came from the other side of the corridor and Kay Tours behind him. She did not know when he appeared. He was silent and the one who didn't help to laugh just now was Kay Tours.
  • His face did not change the coldness, the black eyes were unfathomably dangerous, and the aura emitted from all over the body was angry and powerful.
  • He made the whole air extremely oppressive.
  • Why would Veronica Parker think that Nick Cage will be on this floor? Wasn't he on the top floor of the highest authority? So, did she see the virtue of swearing just now?
  • Not to mention Veronica Parker did not expect it, nor did Martin Hutt.
  • "Mr. Cage. " Martin Hutt was terrified even if he was one of the branch officers of the Cage family.
  • Who did not know how terrible it was to put an end to humanity?
  • "Mr. Cage, it is this newcomer who has the courage to scold the upper echelons of the company. She is not paying attention to the KING Group! Mr. Cage, such a person must not be kept." Martin Hutt made a pre-emptive strike like the thief shouted to catch the thief.
  • He looked at Veronica Parker with her head down and uneasy, so he sneered and scolded her again. If she offended him, you could come to a good end. Now her job will be gone.
  • This was exactly what Veronica Parker wanted. To fire her as soon as possible! She could not wait to disappear!
  • The air surged uneasily, then Nick Cage's cold, deep, and sharp black eyes looked at Veronica Parker in a low and awe-inspiring voice. "Contradicting the superior, she was praiseworthy for her courage and was promoted to the secretarial department from today. Do it."
  • "Yes." Kay Tours nodded.
  • With that, Nick Cage entered the exclusive elevator and the elevator door closed.
  • Veronica Parker stood there blankly, was there nothing wrong with her ears? Or was there something wrong with her understanding?
  • Martin Hutt hurriedly asked Kay Tours, "What's going on?" Promotion? Isn't it dismissal?"
  • Kay Tours smiled, but his smile was unusually calm. "Minister Hut, you quarreled with your subordinate staff in the company and did not have the consciousness as a boss. You should be glad that Mr. Cage did not demote you." Then he went to Veronica Parker and said, "You can report to the secretarial department tomorrow morning."
  • With that, he left.
  • Veronica Parker's mind was buzzing, incredible this dramatic evolution.
  • When she was ready to leave, she got promoted instead?
  • Veronica Parker who reacted to it, hurriedly caught up with him, "I'm sorry, Mr. Tours."
  • "Anything else?" Kay Tours looked at her and asked.
  • "That. Are you kidding me about the promotion?"
  • "Of course not. You should have heard it right."
  • "However, I don't want to be promoted. I think it's good to be a receptionist."
  • Kay Tours was slightly surprised, but it was the first time he heard that someone was not interested in the promotion, especially in the KING Group. "This is an order from Mr. Cage, not to ask for your advice. Getting him angry is not very good."
  • With that, he smiled politely and left.
  • Veronica Parker stood there without humor. She did not dare to annoy him. If he found out that she was hiding his children, it would be over.
  • However, Nick Cage gave herself the feeling of special danger, as long as he was close, it was near the approach of danger.
