Chapter 28 Afternoon Delight

• Once Dylan and Logan’s voices were gone, I walked to Maria’s desk. She was standing, tidying up the pens and paperwork on her desk. She looked up when I got close.
• “Oh hey! I was just about to come grab you for lunch,” she smiled at me. Then she frowned. “Have you been crying? What’s wrong?”
• “I’ll explain over lunch. I have a plan for taking Peter down. Or, well, at least a plan that will hopefully help us get some dirt on him,” I said.
