- She hugged herself against the chill in the air, her body looking frail and pale in the moonlight. She looked so frail and fragile and I almost pitied her but now I know what kind of heart lays beyond the deceptively frail exterior.
- The absurdity of her accusation shook me to the bone and I could only stare at her as if she was a stranger. And in truth she was. She wasn’t the little girl I grew up with anymore, and neither was she the young adolescent girl with whom I played in her parent's mansion. It felt like the years fell away and a stranger emerged out of the past I once knew.
