Chapter 4 Open The Door
- A few hours later, they left.
- Chantelle had initially planned to bring only a few articles of clothing, so she was taken aback when two assistants showed up with two bags of luggage. They assisted her in packing her clothes and didn't leave anything behind.
- As they set off on their journey, they traveled in his sleek Mercedes Benz. The road ahead was unfamiliar to her, but she couldn't quite label it as "countryside" since there were still visible establishments.
- Throughout the trip, she remained silent, gazing out the window, unsure of what to say to him.
- Unaware that she had drifted into slumber, she failed to keep track of the time.
- It wasn't until she stirred to the nip of the nocturnal breeze that she became aware of the hour. Having spent a long time confined inside Jax’s villa, she developed a newfound appreciation for the great outdoors, savoring the sights of the twinkling stars, the rustling of leaves, the scent of freshly bloomed flowers, and the coolness of the night air against her skin.
- Glancing around, she realized that Jax was carrying her in his arms.
- She felt the warmth of his embrace and noticed the movement of his muscles beneath his shirt. A blush crept up her cheeks as she noticed the stares of his bodyguards, making her feel self-conscious and exposed. She longed to hide her face in her hands and disappear from view.
- Jax held her tightly, as if they were newlyweds.
- Closing her eyes momentarily, she hoped to escape the awkwardness, but it only made her more aware of their proximity.
- "It seems you're awake now. I'll introduce you to them tomorrow, as they seem to be already asleep. Get some rest too," Jax said.
- She absentmindedly nodded in agreement with his words as the sound of Jax's footsteps echoed in the quiet night. Her weary body felt heavy as she struggled to stay awake. Nonetheless, in the end, her eyelids drooped with drowsiness once again.
- The following morning, the boisterous noise of children's laughter and shouts abruptly startled her awake. Their excited voices reverberated through the calmness of the early hours, infusing the atmosphere with an invigorating liveliness that demanded attention.
- Turning her gaze towards the man lying next to her, she was taken aback. He peacefully slumbered, completely unclothed, despite the increasing commotion just beyond the door. The chaos outside seemed to have no effect on his tranquility.
- Contemplating whether to wake him or not, Chantelle hesitated, her hand suspended uncertainty in mid-air.
- Pulling the blanket up to shield the vulnerable part of herself, she felt a surge of emotions weighing her down. The enormity of that "thing" she had glimpsed once was overwhelmingly massive, and even though it had only been a fleeting sight, she couldn't comprehend its sheer size.
- Well, knowing how he looked dominant, it was impossible to think he was not big down there.
- ‘What the fuck are you thinking, Chantelle?!’ she scolded herself.
- As the crimson hue spread across her cheeks, she came to the realization that she was still donned in the same attire from the previous night. Swiftly, she placed her foot on the floor, intending to freshen up and change. However, just as she was about to distance herself, a possessive hand encircled her waist and pulled her back into the bed.
- She found herself compelled to lie there horizontally, unable to make a move.
- "Where do you think you're going?" Jax inquired in a raspy, husky tone, sending shivers down her spine.
- Rather than alleviating the embarrassment she felt, it only intensified upon hearing his morning voice! Despite her reluctance to admit it, it was undeniably sexy.
- "I'm going to take a bath, so remove your hand," she responded in a hushed voice.
- He drew her body closer to his, still facing her back, causing her to swallow nervously. She could feel something firm pressing against her back, causing her palms to perspire slightly. Then, the next second, he unexpectedly sniffed the nape of her neck.
- "Damn it!" she exclaimed, jumping up and pushing him away.
- Standing firmly, she glared at him. However, he simply shrugged it off and gazed at her with affectionate eyes. "You smell like a blooming rose garden, so fresh and sweet that I could bury my face in your hair for a year."\
- “W-what?” She blushed at his words. “Don’t be ridiculous!”
- “What? Are you not used to compliments?” he asked nonchalantly.
- Chantelle stared at his face for a long time before she pointed at the door. "I think you should stand up now. It seems like you might have a visitor. I heard children shouting in the hallway earlier."
- To avoid any further confrontation, she swiftly exited his line of sight and walked away. Before heading to the bathroom, she issued a final warning. "If you open the door, please ensure you're wearing boxers or shorts."
- After closing the door, she leaned against its back, feeling her chest thumping with loudness as if it would burst out from his chest.
- "Why? Why is this happening?!" she murmured to herself.
- She could still sense the firmness of his arousal that had pressed against her earlier. Additionally, her nipples were also erect!
- As she prepared to enjoy a refreshing shower, her plans were abruptly halted by a faint knock. The sound sent her heart racing. She touched her chest for a second and managed to ask, "Wha… What?"
- "Open the door," a voice demanded, laced with impatience and a rough yet flirtatious tone.
- "W-why?" she stammered.
- "Just open it."
- She stood frozen in place, captivated by his commanding voice. Her eyes remained fixed on the doorknob, even as it jiggled persistently. After a moment of staring, the noise ceased, and she thought he had left.
- Finally taking a step back, she felt a brief sense of relief.
- However, it was short-lived as the lock clicked open just as she was about to step into the tub, causing her eyes to widen in alarm.
- As she reached for the door to close it, Jax forcefully pushed his way inside, filling the space with his presence. A sense of unease washed over her as she watched him confidently stride in.
- Her heart pounded against her chest as she gazed up at the towering figure before her. He stood tall and imposing, his shirt revealing the rippling muscles beneath. His eyes, like molten steel, bore into her with an intense and piercing gaze, reminiscent of a lion ready to pounce on its prey.
