- I ate my meal in silence, while the rest discuss and argued over what they are going to do when they see Ben. All the while, I almost forgot about Sam sitting next to me until I mentioned I was going into town and he immediately said "I'm coming with you"
- Everyone on the table turned attention to him as if he was just joining us. He looked at their faces like he has said something wrong but got himself together and added "I mean with all that happened She shouldn't be going around alone"
- "Sure." Paul agreed with him nodding.
- Sam nodded and began to stand up "I better get the car ready"
- "No need!" I stopped him. "we should take the shortcut,...I need some fresh air." I said.
- I really need to stretch my wings and feel the air. That's why I had to leave the house, so being encaged in a car is out of option.

- Getting tired of waiting for Hasiat outside the main Building, I started to pave up and down. The idea of escorting her to town was a total bad idea. What was I thinking. It would have been good if we take one of the car so we can get it over with as soon as possible but now she insisted on taking a fucking walk. I mean she's just so odd, No lady will insist on walking to town when she has the luxury of a car. Now I have to endure and keep my mouth shut so as not to pour my heart out to her. There are lots of things I wanted to say to her but the time is not just right yet.
- The front door opened and she stepped out.
- Wow, She looks breathtaking in her cowboy's pant and jacket. I'm not used to seeing her without her nurse's uniform which she wear around the ranch. She put on her hat and walked to where I was standing
- "Are you set?" she asked
- "Yes boss. You lead the way." I said and she smiled at me and walked ahead while I followed behind.
- Our fifteen minutes away from the ranch was filled with silence which I was greatfull for until my slippery mouth couldn't take it anymore and slipped.
- " You should slow down," my voice
- "Or what cowboy, Are you getting tired? you sure look though" She looked back at me briefly and said.
- "Nope. I'm just worried about you. You shouldn't get yourself too worked up."
- "Why are you suddenly worried about me sam?, " 'Here we go' I said to myself while she continued "You avoided me for so long as if I didn't exist and now that I'm the ranch owner, you started to worry about me. What are you really worried about Sam?"
- So Hasiat believes I'm interested in her because she's now rich. How ridiculous.' I clenched my jaw and shook my head looking at her with so much sadness.
- "You have no idea Hasiat" I said that and walked ahead of her leaving her to follow.
- "Sam?.." She called but I didn't answer. I'm so furious at myself. The owe situation is messed up. So how am I going to explain to her without her thinking I'm taking advantage of her. I'm not that kind of man.
- I was so deep in my thought that I didn't realize we are getting close to Ben's workshop which was towards the town. We could have taken another route to avoid seeing him but that is too late now so I had to deal with it.
- Getting closer to the workshop, I saw James, Ben's Son'. He is about my age but I'm sure bigger than him, so I can easily take care of him if he tries anything funny. He had already saw us coming and the look on his face wasn't pleasant.
- "Well, we'll, see who we have here. To what do we owe this visit?". He said as we got to him but we didn't stop and walked passed him towards the town. Asshole.
- " We aren't visiting. We are just passing by asshole." I answered him trying to push Hasiat to walk ahead of me, but he stopped me on track with his next sentence.
- " You know the two of you make a beautiful couple. The cheap whore and the bastard".
- The son of a bitch's words got to me like a bullet and I walked towards him ready to kill. He saw my expression and started running towards the workshop. I ran after him. I heard Hasiat behind me asking me to stop but I didn't answer her so she followed us into the workshop.
- The sound of the sawing machine stopped on entering and a couple of guys came charging to rescue James. I hadn't noticed the look on some of the guys face when they saw Hasiat until I heard Ben's voice coming out of his office.
- "What the hell is going on the..." He trailled off on seeing Hasiat and pointed to her. He looked at her as if he has seen a ghost. "It can't be, she's not real, she's not real..." He suddenly held his chest and slumped to the ground. I got confused for a while then I remembered Ben and some of his guys had attacked Hasiat the other day, but what does Ben meant by she's not real. I left my thoughts when James rushed to his father. Ben had a heart attack.

- My name is Ralph and I'm a cop. I used to soldier. I fought in war and I served my country well. After the war I had nightmares after nightmares of blood and fallen brothers. It hunt me for a long time. I thought it would never stop. My transition from military service to police force hadn't helped a bit. I already accepted my faith until I miraculously came across a pair of sea color eyes at the train station in walport. It was the most beautiful sets of eyes I have ever seen and right there and then she became my dream. I'm sure I'm just as insignificant as anyone in the crowd to her that day but she made a huge impact the very second our eyes locked. It happened so fast and before I could get my senses back, she was lost to the crowd.
- That was when my dreadful nightmare stopped, replaced by beautiful dreams filled with my mystery woman. She had to be a goddess. I had hoped to see her again but after five years of searching and nothing, I started to believe she never really existed. Perhaps It was just a coincidence that my nightmare stopped.

- I stopped at the Chiefs office to pick up my new appointment as a station head in a small town near Walport. My new promotion into captainship had made me eligible for the post and I took it without second thought. My job is the only steady thing in my life and I took it as a major priority which in return has earn me lots of medals and promotion. After picking up my new appointment I said my farewell to my close colleagues at the station, picked up my stuffs and headed home.
- I already made arrangements for my things to be moved so I just pack the little things I know I will need for few days, dumped it at the back of my new Chevrolet and drove off. I knew I won't get to my destination in 24 hours so I made a stop at an inn, spent the night and continued my journey in the morning.
- Getting close to my town, I rolled down the wind screen and let the air in. It feels so good. I guess I'm gonna luv it here after all. When I got into town I made a couple of rounds to get familiar with the landmarks. I had a great lunch at a small eatery. The cook, Camille, introduced herself and I promised to come back for more.
