Lucas wanted to call Henry again. He had a meeting in less than two minutes, and an important one at that, but he needed to know. Was Amira gone? Why had she refused to leave in the first place?
He wasn’t anything to her, and he knew this. She didn’t like him in any particular way. At least not him as a person. She couldn’t. Right? Like most people, she probably only wanted to be near him for his money. They barely knew each other. And, even if she did like him for some other reason, it hardly mattered.
