• What was he doing? What had he done?
• Lucas didn’t know. Out of all his years of marriage, he hadn’t even entertained the thought of cheating on his wife. Lucy wasn’t unfaithful to him, either; at least as far as he knew. They rarely saw each other now, only in passing for a few days of the month when she returned from her trips. This bothered him, but what was he supposed to do about it?
