Chapter 49 Two Is Better Than One

• The next day was Culture’s grand opening as well as Audrey’s first day back to school. Normally, all the attention that she was getting from her peers at NYU would give her anxiety, but not today. Yes, everyone had seen the headlines that she was supposedly the home wrecker that torn up Killian and Cara’s relationship. And yes, a lot of people were giving her weird looks and stares, including Ashton. She saw him for the first time today in months and she felt nothing, which was great and liberating. She didn’t feel any sadness or pain. In fact, she felt bad for him. She was the best thing that could’ve happened to him and he missed it.
• Audrey felt different as she walked through the halls of NYU. After spending the summer with the Vanderbilt brothers, something changed inside her. She felt braver. She no longer cared about what people think. And now she felt like she could do anything.
