• The faces of the two kidnappers looked calm, and as if they had committed no crime. The man laughed widely as he said, “We know nothing. It’s useless for you to interrogate us because we don’t know or recognize these two kids. And why did we kidnap them for? Do you have any evidence?”
• They were smart, and they must have had a plan. The police would have a hard time getting them to confess. What should I do? When I looked over, I saw Piper was looking at the two kidnappers seriously. She was listening intently to all the conversations going on in the investigation room. And I felt sad to see her. If this investigation was a dead end and they were free, then all our efforts were back to zero. Even though their faces were caught on CCTV cameras, there was no evidence showing them forcing the twins into the car. And after that, there was no footage of their activities.
