Chapter 31 A Cougar's Fantasy 3
- Susanne was seated behind her desk, patiently scrutinizing receipt after receipt. She really didn't know what she was looking for, but she hoped she would know if she saw it. If not, she would have to outsource the job to someone who was good in bookkeeping and such stuff. So far, the only tip she had to go on was the conversation between two of her staff which she'd overheard the previous day. They had said enough to convince her that an audit was necessary, but hopefully, it wouldn't cost too much or even cost anything at all if she could find what needed to be found.
- She was engrossed in this activity when she suddenly heard a light knock on the door. Like flash, she swept the receipts under a large file at the far end of her table. Then she folded her arms in front of her as if she'd been expecting the knock all morning.
- "Yes? Who's it?", she called out.
