Chapter 295 Heading to Emerald Harbor
- Sherry left, and Stanley went to his room. He approached his wine shelf and took a bottle of whiskey out. Then, he took the cap off and took a swig. Standing before his bedroom's window, he looked into the night, spacing out. Melinda's countenance flashed across his mind, but he couldn't recall any memories he shared with her.
- Morning came, and Melinda's room was filled with the scent of alcohol. The alarm clock rang, and she got up to get showered. Then, she changed into new clothes and dried her hair. She hadn't forgotten about the promise to see her children, and she promised Samuel to have breakfast at Emerald Harbor.
- She looked at her reflection in the mirror and realized she looked awful, so Melinda put on some makeup to cover the dark circles under her eyes. After all, she had to see Stanley as well. He had no work on weekends, so she had to look good.
