• My brows knitted together at the shift in Aiden’s mood, his scent turning slightly bitter. I followed the line of his vision to see a young woman walking in our way, her lips quirked in a smile. The Alpha almost crushed the cone in his hand, a wince slipping past him before he threw away the entire gelato in the bin. 
• “Alpha Aiden.” The stranger bowed down in front of him before straightening up and turning to face me. Her lips pressed in a thin line. 
• “Do you two know each other?” I asked, pressing closer to the Alpha.
