Chapter 6 The Divorce Agreement

  • “Pfft!”
  • Water sprayed from Taylor’s mouth. Natalie was lucky enough to react quickly and avoid this disaster by grabbing a file to shield her face.
  • Taylor started to cough violently after the spray until her face turned red.
  • Therefore, Natalie hurried over, patting her back, and passed her tissues.
  • It took a while for Taylor to be recovered. She sat in the chair and stared at Natalie as if she were crazy. And she said, “Divorce? What’s wrong with you? A divorce with Sebastian, seriously?”
  • “Natalie, listen up! Go back right now, wake yourself up with some cold water on your face before you ever talk to me again!”
  • “No, hold on! Don’t look for my divorce lawyer, and don’t step into this law firm again!”
  • “Bye, take your time! I’m not seeing you out.”
  • With that, Taylor completely ignored Natalie, she grabbed some tissues and cleaned up the mess on her soaked desk.
  • Natalie signed and said, “He agreed.”
  • Upon hearing that, Taylor was frozen and looked at Natalie seriously. She was trying to read her mind and identify what could’ve possibly happened to lead Natalier to ask for a divorce.
  • Natalie signed again and said, “It’s been three years, and he doesn’t even like me! It’s better to end it now! It wouldn’t end well if this continues! ”
  • “He cheated?” Taylor asked as she couldn’t believe Natalie’s words. She narrowed her eyes and tried to read Natalie’s mind.
  • Natalie chuckled and said, “Nope. He’s not that kind of person.”
  • “Then, what happened?”
  • “Don’t tell me it’s a stroke of genius or a random breakdown! Listen up, you can’t trick me with these words! Natalie, I know you better than your mother!”
  • “Tell me the truth!”
  • “Hurry up!”
  • Taylor truly knew Natalie well. They have been friends since elementary school for over twenty years!
  • Natalie wasn’t trying to hide the truth when she came here. But what she said earlier wasn’t a lie, it was just not completed.
  • Rome was not built in a day.
  • Natalie pondered and said, “He doesn’t even touch me, we’ve been married for three years!”
  • Even though Taylor had imagined all kinds of answers, she never expected this.
  • Taylor was shocked and said, “What did you say? He hasn’t touched you?”
  • Taylor’s voice was so loud and caused people outside to turn to look in. She quickly covered her mouth and leaned closer to Natalie. Then, she said, “Are you sure? Natalie, this isn’t funny!”
  • Natalie felt somehow hilarious after seeing Talyor’s shocked expression.
  • She said softly, “Well… maybe I’ve wanted a divorce for a long time, or maybe I’m stepping out after knowing someone else he cared about is back and hasn’t married. It motivates me to speak out after his mother said I hadn’t given them a child in three years.”
  • “He’s truly filial. He would never have divorced if I hadn’t brought it up! Over these three years, I went from anticipation and anxiety to gradually accepting the situation. Now, it’s time to end this.”
  • “Taylor, draft a divorce agreement for me. Just make it a clean break, I don’t want anything! I just wish both of us to be happy.”
  • “We’ll both be better off.” Natalie calmly said without any complaint or regret.
  • Taylor frowned and fell silent. No physical intimacy after being married for three years? What else could it be but a lack of love? It’s not easy for a woman to endure three years in a marriage without love.
  • “Alright, I’ll help you draft it! Natalie, you’ll find someone better after leaving Sebastian!”
  • “Hehe, sure, I will.”
