Chapter 9

  • He arrives at a place where he can quench his thirst for sex.
  • He returns to the club again, there are still people, he just hopes that everything goes well for him.
  • He sits at the bar.
  • "What would you like to drink, sir?" the bartender asks.
  • "Double whiskies," Maskyn replies with a neutral attitude.
  • The bartender quickly serves the drink and Maskyn grabs it, turning his chair to look towards the dance floor.
  • It's logical that anyone would want to try to impress him, considering how handsome Maskyn is.
  • He pays no attention, as he believes that the less interest you show, the more interesting you will be.
  • He turns to face the bartender and calmly drinks his cocktail.
  • "A martini, please," says the girl whom Maskyn had bothered.
  • But she was not alone, she had company.
  • The bartender serves her, "Here's your drink, miss. Does your companion want something to drink?"
  • "Yes, a triple tequila for him," Dakota says without paying the slightest attention to Maskyn, and that angers him, but she doesn't know who she's messing with.
  • Maskyn pays attention to everything she says and does.
  • "I want to take you to the room, baby," her companion says.
  • "You're a rogue, but of course we'll go, baby. Let's just drink a little more," she says flirtatiously.
  • Maskyn smiles inwardly because it's logical that she wants to steal from the guy. After all, he has a gold chain and a gold ring worth thousands of dollars.
  • The guy starts groping her and she tries to push him away, but she can't.
  • "Calm down, baby," Dakota says, hiding her anger.
  • "What's the problem? You're my girl tonight, you're mine, and I want to do whatever I want to you," the guy says.
  • Maskyn glances briefly at Dakota and then focuses his gaze on his drink.
  • "Of course, I'm your girl, baby, but I don't like being seen like this," she says.
  • "So what? Hey, you!" the guy says, referring to Maskyn.
  • Maskyn turns to look at him incredulously.
  • "What?" Maskyn responds seriously.
  • "If you see this woman, she's my bitch."
  • Dakota grimaces in disgust, but she's used to it.
  • "Whether she's your bitch or not, I couldn't care less," Maskyn says.
  • "Calm down, friend," the guy says.
  • "Calm down? Your mother," Maskyn says.
  • "Don't mess with my mother!"
  • "You defend your mother when you call a woman a bitch?"
  • "So what? If she is, a woman who approaches a handsome and wealthy man like me is only interested in money, and those interested are bitches."
  • Maskyn finishes his drink and then looks at the guy with a dark gaze. He gets off his seat and takes two steps to stand face to face with the guy.
  • "If anyone approaches you, I doubt it's because of your looks, since you look like a little bitch straight out of the comics."
  • "How dare you speak to me like that? You don't know who I am, you idiot," the guy says, raising his voice.
  • "It doesn't matter, baby," Dakota says to the guy, not wanting to ruin her plans.
  • "Typical words of a child, of mommy and daddy. When you succeed on your own, then we can talk."
  • "Son of a bitch," the guy says, and Maskyn looks at him as if he's insignificant.
  • "What did you say?" Maskyn asks, clenching his fists and the veins in his arms becoming visible.
  • Dakota looks at him intently.
  • "Oh, what I said to you? Well, I'll tell you! But in a better version."
  • "Son of a bitch," Maskyn gives a devilish smile. Dakota couldn't help but be attracted to his fury.
  • Maskyn punches him hard in the nose, causing him to fall while holding his nose and complaining about the pain.
  • Dakota remains silent, Maskyn gives her a cold look, and leaves the bar to catch his breath.
  • He barely restrained himself, otherwise he would have hit the boy again, and that would have caused a scandal.
  • He went to get a cigarette, but he ran out and cursed about it. He bought a box of cigarettes from a woman on the street, the most expensive ones she had, although they don't compare to the ones Maskyn usually smokes.
  • He lights the cigarette and smokes it to calm down his anger. For him, his mother Hailey is sacred, and mentioning her is like a desire to kill and feast on the dead.
  • He finishes smoking and then walks towards his car, where a boy around 15 years old is taking a picture to show off on his social media.
  • "Move or I'll move you," Maskyn ordered impatiently.
  • The boy got scared.
  • "Sorry, I just thought you have a cool car. I want to have one like this someday."
  • "Well, let me tell you right now, if you keep running away from home, if you're not a good student, an ungrateful son, and if you don't have more important goals in life than just thinking about a car, then you'll never have anything. Now get lost."
  • The boy stood there, stunned and thoughtful, considering what Maskyn had said.
  • Maskyn unlocks the car and gets in. Just as he's about to enter, the passenger door opens.
  • Maskyn looks surprised, but a wicked smile appears on his face.
  • "What are you doing?" he asks mockingly.
  • "Take me with you," she says.
  • "Are you crazy? Get out of my car."
  • "Are you rich?"
  • "And does that matter? Oh, I see! You're a thief and only interested in money."
  • "Should there be any other kind of interest?"
  • "I'm not interested at all."
  • "And why don't you take me to a secluded place and have sex with me in this car?"
  • Maskyn looks at her and raises an eyebrow.
  • "I thought you didn't like it?"
  • "I don't like you! It's just that you stick your nose where it doesn't belong, and you made me lose a lot of money, so you owe me."
  • "You don't know who you're dealing with, Dakota," he says threateningly.
