• “Mate, huh?” Ethan’s voice cut through the tension in the room as I looked up from my phone. I’d been trying to reach Jess for what felt like ages, but the call wouldn’t go through. My frustration was mounting, but Ethan’s sarcastic tone only added fuel to the fire.
• I shot him a glare, but he just shrugged, leaning against the doorframe with a lazy grin. “What? You’re not going to deny it, are you? I can smell Leo's scent over you. Like everyone is against both of you and yet you are getting it on.”
