Chapter 8 Skeleton in the Closet
- Ariana Sutton's POV
- Stefan stayed out the whole night, and yet I was not worried, nor did I want to find out where he was. To learn not to care about him was something I must do. And thus, I slept. I woke up early the next morning and made a simple breakfast for myself. For once, I could relax. The piano lesson wouldn't start until the afternoon. I had some time, and the house needed cleaning. For three years, I haven't had a proper day of rest. Once I finished breakfast, I started cleaning the house. It was an arduous task, cleaning a house as big as this residence.
- Hours passed, and I barely finished cleaning the basement and first floor. A moment of rest later, I resumed work, this time cleaning Stefan's study. When he left three years ago, the study was locked, stopping me from cleaning it. But now it was unlocked, so I thought it should be cleaned. The first thing that greeted me once I entered was the scent of dust. It choked me, making me cough. Gotta get a mask. And I wore a mask. Fortunately, the windows were shut tight, so the dust wasn't too thick.
