Chapter 27 Humans Are Evil
- Ariana Sutton's POV
- The man only resurfaced about 30 minutes later. At this point, the baby was no longer breathing, and his tiny figure was losing its warmth. The young child was free of all suffering. When the man saw me, he charged toward me and snatched his baby over before he started crying. "My child was fine when I sent him to this hospital earlier. Why is he dead now? Return my child to me!" he wailed.
- I clasped my hands together as I felt cold sweat forming on my palms. It was just as I had expected—the man probably knew that child was dying, and he probably wanted to earn one final sum of money before the child died… I fumed at that thought. "Your child had biliary atresia, and he was barely breathing when you brought him in. How could you say that he was fine? You knew that your child was going to die!" I growled.
