Chapter 7 We Deserve To Be Punished And We Hate You
- Tang Yi called to say that he did not see Tang Ze at kindergarten, and that the principal said he saw someone picked him up.
- According to the principal’s description, that person was definitely Bo Cheng!
- Tang Jing rolled out of bed and stumbled to pull open the drawer before she stuffed the pills she had not taken for a long time into her mouth. After a few retches, she forcibly swallowed the medicine, and she wiped the tears from her face and stood back up.
- With a distinctive hatred in her slightly reddish eyes, she reached out and gripped the shirt on her chest, her fingers trembling uncontrollably.
- It’s okay... Don't be afraid.
- Bo Cheng, since you robbed me of my last faith, I’ll come at you at all costs!
- Bo Cheng picked Tang Ze up at 3.00PM, and he was directly taken into the Bo's mansion. Bo Cheng’s mother, Cen Huiqiu, was stunned when she saw him.
- The old woman murmured as her tears rolled down, “Are you... the Bo family's… grandson?”
- Tang Ze said nothing. The sadness in Cen Huiqiu’s eyes appeared genuine, but he didn’t want to bother.
- “Who are your parents?”
- “Who my mom is doesn't concern you.”
- Tang Ze smiled. This five-year-old kid had a mind that was terrifyingly brilliant. “Naturally, who my dad is doesn't concern me as well.”
- Bo Cheng just parked his car and was walking in when he heard Tang Ze’s words, and he was so mad that he kicked on the door. “What do you mean?”
- Tang Ze replied, “Every word I said.”
- Cen Huiqiu could see that this child was very resentful, particularly toward the Bo family, so she did not dare to go up to hug him and stared at him instead. “Your mom… Is she well?”
- Tang Ze smiled sweetly. “The country paid for her food when she was in prison, so my mom lived comfortably back then.”
- Bo Cheng got angry after he heard his reply and lifted Tang Ze into the air. “Who taught you to be so sharp-tongued?”
- He sneered coldly, “Has Tang Jing taught you to speak like this? Huh?”
- Tang Ze looked fearless. “Who taught me this? The people around me said so. They said that my mom has been in jail and that she has killed someone. Come to think of it, you said so too, in front of my mom yesterday.”
- Bo Cheng felt a stabbing pain in his chest. Putting him down forcefully, he gritted his teeth. “Did you learn from your mom how to pick a fight with me?”
- “If you don’t like me picking a fight, then send me back.”
- Tang Ze looked at him. “You want to use me to threaten my mum, but doing so will only make us hate you more.”
- Hate you more!
- Finally he said it. He admitted that they hate him, and such hatred had penetrated into their flesh and blood, and became a habit.
- Wherever Bo Cheng appeared, Tang Jing would helplessly panic and try to escape from it.
- So for five whole years, she had moved from Hai Town to Lan Town just to be far away from him!
- For no reason, Bo Cheng blew up and threw a lot of things around. Cen Huiqiu advised behind him downheartedly, “Cheng, stop throwing things…”
- Bo Cheng gave a cold sneer and went upstairs while Tang Ze sat on the sofa downstairs, his face expressionless.
- The father and son looked exactly the same when they were angry.
- Cen Huiqiu told a servant to clean up and took a seat next to Tang Ze. Heart aching, she asked, “Did that frighten you…?”
- Tang Ze shook his head. “No.”
- Yet his eyes were slightly red, and he looked obviously unnerved.
- “W-What’s your name?” Cen Huiqiu was very fond of this child, so she wanted to ask for his name.
- Tang Ze looked at her. “I’m Tang Ze. Z-E, Ze. My mom said this word represents light.”
- Cen Huiqiu dared not ask about how Tang Jing was lately, but since Tang Ze brought it up, she continued cautiously, “Your mom…”
- “Madam, you don't have to worry about my mom.”
- Cen Huiqiu looked at him, a five-year-old who was shockingly brilliant that he even distanced himself by addressing her politely, and she was afraid that it would be difficult for her to get close with him in the future…
- Cen Huiqiu tried to think of a better way to talk to him. “Tang Ze, actually, back then… your parents…”
- “You don't have to tell me. I know.” Tang Ze picked up where she trailed off. “They all said that my mom brought this on herself and that she killed someone, so she deserved the punishment. I get it, too. We do deserve the punishment.”
- We do deserve the punishment.
- He was obviously saying something that was driving himself into hell, but even Cen Huiqiu felt pain in her heart.
- This child really hated them…
- Without a care that he had hurt the old lady's heart, Tang Ze turned to look out the window.
- The night was dark, and there was no sign of dawn.
