Chapter 2 Kneel To Atone For Your Sins, For It’s a Sin To Love Deeply!
- It had been raining for the past few days, and it was still drizzling the day An Qing was buried, but many people attended the funeral. When Bo Cheng delivered his eulogy, he pressed on Tang Jing and forced her to kneel before An Qing’s grave, as if his heart was set to make her kneel to her death.
- Tang Jing struggled, but the man slapped her hard across the face. “Stop acting as though you’re innocent, because you have the least right to act innocent!”
- Tang Jing bore the pain and suddenly laughed.
- As the rain drizzled, the woman laughed faintly and hopelessly. Bo Cheng didn’t care about his surroundings and kicked forcibly at the corner of her mouth, and then she rolled over and spewed a mouthful of blood.
- Bo Cheng’s leather shoes appeared within her peripheral vision. She looked up at him, and all of a sudden, that feeling vanished from her heart.
- How cruel this man is. It is all my fault…
- It’s my fault to have fallen in love with him!
- Tang Jing hissed through clenched teeth, “Don’t expect me to kneel before her!”
- “For the sin you’ve committed, it’s considered a light punishment for you to kneel!” the man roared at Tang Jing, outraged. He picked her up and tossed her onto the ground violently, but she did not cry out in pain.
- She laughed instead. “I can choose to ignore all those lovers and mistresses you have on the side, and I can even pretend that I don’t know about your scandals reported on the daily news. I was a wife who was treated like a dog. Do you even have a conscience? Do you think I had the intent to kill An Qing? What is she to me? She isn’t even worth a mention next to me when it comes to social status, family background and education.”
- “You’ve finally shown your true colors…”
- Bo Cheng lifted her face with the toe of his shoe. “I’ve prepared a big present for you. I wonder whether you’ll like it…”
- Just then, a squad of police officers appeared at the door. Before Tang Jing could react, they rushed forward, held her down, and put her in handcuffs swiftly.
- The moment she saw the handcuffs on her hands, Tang Jing immediately struggled wildly with her whole body. “Let go of me. What are you arresting me for?!”
- “Murderer! Murderer!”
- “Bah! It’s the Young Miss Tang!”
- “She has no conscience! Such a sinister human being!”
- “Young Master Bo is so unlucky to have such a wife!”
- The reporters and camera lenses were all aiming at Tang Jing to capture the moments when she was vulnerable and petrified. She looked as pale as a ghost, as if she had lost her soul. “Who asked you to arrest me? Who?”
- “Ha! Do you think, without enough evidence, they will frame you in this country ruled by law?”
- The man’s voice rang loud from behind. When she turned around, he was holding an urn while dressed in a first-rate tailored suit as he came back into Tang Jing’s field of vision like an emperor.
- Tang Jing’s eyes turned red. “Bo Cheng, did you send them to arrest me?”
- Bo Cheng smirked lightly before replying, “I merely want the truth for An Qing. The police and I have watched the surveillance video.”
- “The truth? The truth?”
- Tang Jing burst out laughing suddenly as if it was a joke. Everyone was blaming her, but they were apprehensive of her current hysteria. The live broadcast recorded her madness for 1.3 billion people to witness, and she was like an evil monster in the eyes of those 1.3 billion people.
- The handcuffs on her wrists rattled as she struggled, and Tang Jing shouted at Bo Cheng, “Bo Cheng! You don’t have a shred of conscience! We were husband and wife for five years, but I’m sure even a dog wouldn’t be humiliated this way!”
- “Humiliated?”
- Bo Cheng approached her and hooked Tang Jing’s chin up in a flash. “This is a sin you’ve committed, so how is this humiliation?”
- “I told you I didn’t do it, so what makes you think you can arrest me?” Tang Jing snickered dolefully. She knew that she couldn’t change anything even if she fought to the end. She saw a reflection of herself in his eyes—she was beyond pathetic.
- Tang Jing heard a loud slap accompanied with a familiar, searing pain, and big drops of tears started rolling down her eyes. All of a sudden, she used both hands to snatch the urn from Bo Cheng’s hands and smashed it in front of everyone!
- “Bo Cheng, let me tell you this! I can never be bothered to do such a thing in my life! It’s up to you if you don’t believe me, but I will never allow a dead person to hold me hostage! There will be retribution for you!”
- Bo Cheng bellowed like a mad man while choking Tang Jing’s neck, “How dare you? How dare you?!”
- “Kill me then!” Tang Jing let out a mirthless laugh. “Since you trust her so much that you disregard my innocence, is there anything you wouldn’t do? You’re just taking advantage of my love for you! Aren’t you trying to break my heart? Come on, then! My heart is already in pieces, anyway, so I don’t mind if you add another wound to it!”
- The police officers came forward to take Tang Jing away forcefully and dragged her to the police car. Everyone crowded over to witness the melancholic drama unfold before them. The handsome man had a horrible expression on his face, which sent chills down one’s spine.
- Bo Cheng glared at Tang Jing’s back unblinkingly. “Tang Jing, the rest of your life would not be enough to atone for your sins!”
- Tang Jing barked out two laughs, and her tears streamed down. “Bo Cheng, you will regret this! An Qing’s unborn child might not even be yours! If there comes a day when you realize that you’ve wronged me today—“
- If there comes a day when you realize that you’ve wronged me today…
- For some reason, it started raining cats and dogs suddenly, and everyone was soaked with the ice-cold raindrops bearing into their bones. In a moment, it poured heavier as if God himself was enraged!
- Heavy raindrops hammered down on Tang Jing’s body when she was shoved into the car. Her manic laughter rang loud despite the rain, piercing into the ears of everyone at the burial site!
- “Bo Cheng, if I don’t die, the only wish I have is to never see you again; but if I die, then lady luck must be on my side!”
- It was useless to love deeply, and it was not worth it to spare even a moment for lovesickness.
- She understood that now; she finally understood that now! Bo Cheng left her with nothing but a dead end. After divorcing her, he immediately threw her into prison, and she would pay for her stupidity for the rest of her life!
- Tang Jing laughed until she started coughing up blood. When the police car’s window was wound down, countless camera flashes aiming at her manic state started going off, but she wasn’t perturbed while her eyes locked onto Bo Cheng.
- “It is my fault.”
- She instantly lost the energy to go on with the ruckus as she proclaimed, “Bo Cheng, I realized that it really is my fault…”
- Bo Cheng approached her and was about to say something, but the woman looked up at him with a dazed look, as if the world was crumbling before her eyes. “Bo Cheng, the worst mistake I’ve made is falling in love with you…”
- Five years of marriage and five years of love were crushed into fragments overnight!
- He did not trust her in the least bit; that was why he could be so cruel and send her to hell, turning her efforts and sacrifices into a complete joke!
- Bo Cheng, you owe me too much in this life!
- The police vehicle drove into the pouring rain while Tang Jing’s sighs dissipated into the air quickly by the droplets; they were full of nothingness, like her last glance that was filled with despair and numbness. She looked like an old woman on the verge of death.
- He should feel happy to avenge An Qing… However, when the time arrived, Bo Cheng took a couple of steps back. A gust of wind blew behind him, and the ice-cold rain pummeled on his shoulders as he felt a chill in his heart.
- When the time truly arrived, why did he feel as if a piece of his heart was missing? Why did he feel like it was a jab to his heart when he heard her mumbling to herself like that…?
