Chapter 5 Entering Her Home and Taking The Child!
- Tang Yi was about to go back to the studio after sending his sister and nephew home, saying that he had to catch up with his draft and that he would take the car with him. Tang Jing took out a lunchbox from the refrigerator before handing it to him. “Don’t exhaust yourself.”
- “It is quite tiring to provide for you. I don’t even have a wife yet,” Tang Yi answered.
- Tang Jing closed the door on her brother while Tang Ze, who was on the sofa, laughed. “Uncle is still single!”
- Tang Jing laughed too. “Did you have fun today?”
- Tang Ze nodded. “Yes!!”
- “I’m glad that you enjoyed it, and remember to—”
- “Say ‘thank you’ to Uncle later,” Tang Ze interrupted with his eyes wide. “I understand, mommy.”
- Tang Jing felt like she won a 5 million lottery for having given birth to such a clever child!
- She tidied up the house and was about to go to bed when the doorbell rang.
- Tang Jing was still mopping the floor, so she yelled for Tang Ze to get the door. Tang Ze jumped off the sofa and ran to the door with his short legs. “Did Uncle forget something…”
- Tang Ze’s expression changed instantly when he opened the door and saw the face outside.
- Bo Cheng never expected him to open the door as well. He had imagined countless different ways of meeting. It had been five years since they met, so Tang Jing might look at him coldly, or like a stranger, or perhaps she might still hate him, but he never imagined it to be his son opening the door.
- Tang Ze’s heart clutched the moment he saw Bo Cheng’s face, and a second later, he jolted awake and slammed the door shut!
- F*ck! This was the first time Bo Cheng stepped foot at a house to have a door slammed in his face!
- By a f*cking kid, no less!
- But deep down, he thought that his son certainly inherited his mannerisms and was weirdly gratified. He smiled to himself like an idiot for a while before knocking on the door again.
- Just then, he heard Tang Ze’s voice. “Mom, there’s no one out there. It’s probably some neighbor’s prank!”
- Bo Cheng boiled. Where did this brat learn to lie through his teeth?
- Hence, he directly landed a kick on the door, and this time, Tang Ze was startled. He held himself against the door and looked at Tang Jing, who was inside. “Mommy… There’s a bad guy at the door…”
- “What’s wrong?” Tang Jing went over and hugged Tang Ze. Why does he have this expression on his face? But it could be that the two of us living alone have attracted some criminals. She took a few steps back and held Tang Ze tightly.
- “Mommy, don’t be scared. It’s Young Master Bo.”
- Tang Jing’s heart instantly turned cold!
- Why is Bo Cheng here? How did he know about Tang Ze and me? Is he here… to take the child away?
- Overthinking, Tang Jing’s eyes turned red and she gritted her teeth. “Don’t worry, baby. I will never hand you over to the bad guy.”
- Upon hearing this, Tang Ze landed on the ground and strode over spiritedly to open the door. Bo Cheng was about to kick the door for a second time when it suddenly opened. A little boy who looked exactly like him was standing there, with a frown and a guarded expression. “What do you want from me?”
- Wow! What a straightforward opening! Seems like this kid knows everything!
- Bo Cheng also sneered coldly, “Are you not going to invite your dad in?”
- “I don’t have a dad,” Tang Ze countered immediately. “It has only been my mum taking care of me for the past five years. I don’t have a dad, and I don’t need one.”
- Tang Jing’s eyes turned redder at his words. What an obedient child!
- Bo Cheng stood at the doorstep and locked eyes with Tang Ze. “You don’t need a dad?”
- “Young Master Bo, our lives have always been peaceful and stable, and we’ve committed no crimes. Please tell us what you want from us at once, and please, leave right after.”
- Bo Cheng felt extremely uncomfortable hearing Tang Ze calling him ‘Young Master Bo’ like the others.
- Did Tang Jing teach this kid all these? Has she taught him to be so disrespectful and sarcastic?
- Bo Cheng was mad and walked in straightaway. When he saw Tang Jing standing in the living room, all the emotions that had accumulated after five years of separation filled his mind instantly.
- Seeing that Tang Jing’s eyes that were looking at him welled up with fear and pain from the dark corners of her soul, his fists clenched involuntarily.
- “Long time no see,” he uttered indifferently.
- Tang Jing did not reply to him. Tang Ze realized that he couldn’t stop him, so he quickly ran towards his mom and grabbed her arm. “Mommy, it’s okay. Let’s go to bed.”
- The mother and son turned around together, planning to ignore Bo Cheng completely.
- “Stop right there!”
- A voice that was filled with rage rang from the back, and Tang Jing’s whole body shuddered. Even Tang Ze could feel her hands shaking.
- Bo Cheng was so mad that he laughed instead. “Are you not going to explain to me about this kid?”
- “What’s there to explain?”
- Tang Jing stared at Bo Cheng and spoke with a trembling voice. “I’ve been in jail for five years. Why are you still not letting me go?”
- Five years of prison! It has destroyed all my hope and love toward you!
- Bo Cheng’s eyes narrowed, seemingly dissatisfied by her reaction. “You deserve to be imprisoned for what you did, so why are you pretending to be innocent?”
- Tang Jing’s eyes turned red. She turned around and rebuked, “Is it? You’re right, so why are you here now? Is a woman with a prior like me worthy for you to come over?”
- “Of course you’re not worth it.” Bo Cheng went over and pulled Tang Ze’s hands. “But he is!”
- Tang Jing tried to hold back her tears, but Tang Ze was surprisingly calm. He just stared at Bo Cheng and muttered, “Young Master Bo, please let go.”
- The word ‘please’ felt like a jab in Bo Cheng’s heart.
- “Call me dad,” he ordered.
- “I don’t have a dad.”
- Tang Ze looked up and smiled. “All I have is a mom who has been in jail for five years.”
- At that instant, Bo Cheng had to admit that he lost to a child.
- Tang Jing didn’t have to say a word, but a single sentence from Tang Ze sent a thousand arrows piercing through his heart.
- It was only five years of prison, and Tang Jing murdered my child and my lover, so how dare she question me as if she’s the victim now?
- He suddenly recalled the words Tang Jing said to him when she was brought away five years ago.
- If there comes a day when you realize that you’ve wronged me today…
- Bo Cheng’s heart clenched, and he looked at Tang Ze unconsciously. All of a sudden, he asked a stupid question. “When did you give birth to the child?”
- “Do you even have to ask? It was in prison, of course.”
- Tang Jing was laughing so hard that her tears rolled down. “Your eyes were only filled with An Qing, so why would you care whether I was pregnant? Yeah, Tang Ze might not even be your child, because I am just a slut in your eyes, right?”
- Bo Cheng was boiling with rage. He let go of Tang Ze, and grabbed Tang Jing’s neck violently. “It’s been five years and you are still so despicable!”
- Tang Jing pushed Bo Cheng with her left arm. To his surprise, her left hand had calluses.
- Tang Jing always used her right arm, so why…
- As if he thought of something, Bo Cheng reached out and grabbed her right arm. Tang Jing let out a scream and was suddenly worked up. “Let go of me!”
- Tang Ze’s eyes turned red as well. “Let go of my mommy!”
- He lifted her sleeves, exposing her thin wrist that seemed so brittle that it might break with the lightest pinch. This pair of hands used to be her pride. When she was drawing her designs, the entire world shone in her eyes, but now—
- The sight of the ragged slash scars on her wrist made his breath hitched. Bo Cheng couldn’t hold back his shock, and his pupils contracted into thin slits!
