• “He walked away from me—he fucking walked away from me!” I shouted, pacing back and forth in the room. My voice echoed off the stone walls, but Alpha Philip just sat there, silently observing. The anger in my veins felt like ice—cold, seething, and sharp. My blood ran cold as I thought about how easily Drake had dismissed me, how he seemed to favor Emily over me. It was infuriating.
• “You need to relax,” Philip finally said, his voice measured. “It’s not like Alpha Drake belongs to Emily now.”
