Chapter 403 The Mystery Remains Unsolved

• Half a month later, Julian was beginning to show positive signs of a good recovery. Furthermore, he was also starting to memorize the lines of his script while Denise continued to travel between her office and the hospital. In the meantime, Yuna and Jake hardly met each other again ever since they did the last time. Although Yuna would still visit Jake in the hospital occasionally, it did nothing to improve the great estrangement between them as they continued to talk to each other like polite guests. Jake would also get off his bed to walk while actively accepting his treatment, in order to stimulate his sensory nerve perception.
• One day, Quinlan removed the needles from Jake's leg and put them away in his bag, telling the latter about the status of his condition. "Your leg has more or less recovered, but I guess you have yourself to blame for not having treated your body better, so this is as good as it's going to get. Come on, get off the bed and take a little walk to see how you feel."

He then gazed at the middle-aged man with a courteous smile. "Thanks to you all this while, Dr. Kenway. I appreciate everything you have done to treat my leg. I understand the odds of my full recovery, so I get you."
