• "Engagement? Why not?" James gleefully chuckled and ordered the butler, "Derrick, bring me the calendar." After putting his multifocal glasses on, he took a look at the calendar and carefully studied it for a few minutes before turning to Alex and Denise. "Eighteenth of this month is an auspicious day. It'd be perfect for the engagement ceremony."
• "Eighteenth? Isn't that a little bit rushed?" Denise was taken aback. Since it was already the tenth, they had only eight days left for preparations, which would certainly be hectic. She wouldn't even have enough time to design an outfit for herself.
• Alex's deep eyes glistened as he looked at Denise. Wrapping his arm around her, he coolly said, "It won't be. You don't have to prepare anything. I'll make sure a grand engagement ceremony is ready for you. All you have to be is a beautiful fiancée by then."
