Chapter 3: Impressed
- When Kayden Diego became the new Alpha, he decided to punish Joe Bidder by making him a rogue. He was to be forcefully banished from the Middleton pack and must remain a lone wolf for the rest of his life.
- His co-conspirators were killed but Joe Bidder's punishment was lighter because his daughter Jane Bidder was the Alpha's mate.
- But Jane Bidder was furious and challenged the Alpha to why he would banish her father. Her father had done wrong and had suffered many months of imprisonment. The time he had spent in prison should be enough to atone for his sins.
- To threaten Kayden Diego, Joe Bidder declared that if he is banished, he would leave with his daughter who apparently was Kayden Diego's mate.
- Kayden Diego was not doing what he did because of himself, but for his own people, his pack members. First, to instill discipline and the fear of banishment and secondly, to make them realize the implication of not being loyal to their Alpha.
- He couldn't have possibly killed Joe Bidder's co-conspirators and then let Joe Bidder continue living as a free man. That will be tantamount to being partial and make others have this feeling that some persons were above the law.
- But Kayden Diego didn't budge. He was not going to spare Joe Bidder and was not willing to be partial. Partiality is not a trait of good leadership and would not soil his image of self integrity as the new Alpha. Joe Bidder and his daughter can choose to do whatever they like.
- On the day Joe Bidder was to be expelled out of their territory, Kayden Diego sat on his throne with his gaze as sharp as that of a lion who was scanning its prey.
- "I Kayden Diego, the Alpha of the Middleton pack hereby banish you Joe Bidder from its territory forever. If ever you are found roaming around its boundary, you shall be met with your death!" He declared with the authority of a supreme one.
- His full red eyes were sparkling like a volcano that is capable of destroying anything. His frightened aura can make anyone shiver in fear.
- As soon as he finished speaking, some bodyguards came forward to see him off their territory. But to everyone's utmost surprise, Jane Bidder came forward and stood arrogantly before the Alpha " Since you choose to banish my father I have no other option left than to do these : I Jane Bidder reject you as my mate!".
- All the other pack members panic at her words, does she want the Alpha to die or to be severely pained? It's dangerous to be rejected by one's mate.
- Kayden squinted, Jane had indeed carried out her threat to the full without putting his feelings into consideration. He was admired by many both from the werewolf's pack and from the human world but the moon goddess had only chosen Jane as his mate and he had to accept her despite his dislike for women.
- If she is the cheese her father intends to use to trap him at a point weakest to any werewolf, then they are really mistaken about his kind of personality. He was never going to yield an inch.
- " I Kayden Diego accept your rejection" He declared without batting an eyelid. And immediately, his mark on her neck gradually began fading away.
- That was over a hundred years ago, he didn't care a bit about what later happened to Jane. Perhaps she survived like him or the worst, he's not concerned about that. He had since then stayed free from the female species and really avoided them like a plague until he found himself rescuing this human.
- Soon Lily dressed up and came downstairs. She was captivated as soon as she stepped into the sitting room. The large sitting room was looking more like a palace: more beautifully decorated than the room she just stepped out from.
- The exquisite cushions, the beautiful coloured light emanating from the chandelier gave the room an attractive look. The marble floor was made of precious stones leaving a feeling of being in a Paradise.
- Lily was looking at the various wallpaper. They were all very beautiful and attractive that she really doesn't know or say which is more beautiful and alluring.
- When Kayden Diego glanced and saw the fellow he was waiting for was completely captivated, lost in her admiration of wallpapers he chuckled quietly and coughed slightly.
- That cough brought Lily back to her senses, and realized someone was actually waiting for her. She shyly took a seat opposite the man and bowed her head.
- Kayden Diego sat with his legs crossed leisurely reading or perhaps perusing a business magazine.
- Lily stole a glance at the man sitting in front of her and then he also accidentally glanced at her direction and their eyes locked:
