Chapter 34 Confessions And Secrets
- Leon didn't stop and he didn't speak to Dare all the way home. Although Dare was barely unconscious he still felt awful with the silent treatment from his Lion friend but his mouth was so sore he could not move them to speak. Fucking Conri. Beating him up like that. What happened to the witch's spell? He was supposed to be weak whenever they fought, that way he could win but for some odd reason, her spell had failed him and the Lycan had beaten him upside-down. Mariana was still recovering so that could have caused the shift in spell, he should have waited for her to get better before confronting the Lycan. But, after speaking with Leon, he could not for the life of him control his emotions and he was on his way to River Bay before he could stop himself.
- He couldn't get into the Gates so he lurked around. For what... he did not know at the time but he waited, hiding behind trees and pacing. Luck seemed to have been on his side since he hadn't waited a good hour before he spotted Rafa rushing out through the gates and charging into the forest with the speed of light. It was not easy catching up to a running Lycan but he eventually did when he noticed he was slowing down. Then he charged him without thinking. The last thing he remembered was being thrown back against a tree by Conri before everything went blank. And then there was pain, lots of it. His head throbbed and there was a strange sensation of floating as though his body was disconnected from reality. But he was able to open his eyes slowly, blinking into those of Leon's raging orbs before he knocked Conri off of him and carried him away. It was their best chance too since if the Lion had decided to fight the Lycan they both would have ended up badly hurt.
- Leon barged into the elevator and waited impatiently as they rode to the top floor. Upon entering the Penthouse, he carried Dare into his room and tossed him on the bed, then ignoring him once again, he went to retrieve the first-aid kit. Dare waited with bated breath and an aching body for the Lion's return and when he did come back, he went to work on tearing his clothes from his bloodied skin with a scissor. He may not be speaking to him but he was gentle with him. So gentle, it nearly split a smile upon Dare's face if his mouth wasn't hurting so much. He kept his cool and waited for the Lion to finish cleaning him up and treating his wounds of which some were starting to heal, and by the time Leon was finished, he was almost healed save for the deeper cuts and bruises.
