Chapter 178 Beyond a Joke

She then sat up straight and saw Liquorice lying right beside her bed before she rubbed its head with a smile. "That's so kind of you to have accompanied me for the whole day."
• Liquorice licked Talia's hand in a sympathetic manner to flatter the lady. Soon, Talia made a serious promise to the dog. "Relax, buddy. We're not going to abandon you again. In fact, no one will because you're going to be staying here with us from now on."
• Suddenly, she heard the sound of a car from downstairs while Liquorice immediately knew that Jasper was back. Upon seeking Talia's permission, it happily headed downstairs after opening the door by itself with surprising ease, although it was a dog.
