Chapter 48 Meeting Butch

  • As soon as the shooting and the bloodshed ended and the rest of the harvesters scattered, Brice moved closer to the dead harvesters littered around the floor of the train station. He surveyed Clay’s handiwork as well as Butch’s assassin skills. He planned to call out his boyfriend and ask about his disregard for Brice’s orders, but by the time Brice got to the area where he had last seen Clay, the man was gone. Clay moved like the wind. Brice had to admit Butch had taught his brother well.
  • Brice glanced to the side where the trains were parked just as he caught sight of Clay. He glimpsed the man as his boyfriend disappeared behind a row of old wooden doors that appeared to be part of a selling stall for grilled rabbit meat.
  • Frowning, Brice turned away from the dead harvesters and was met with bright red eyes. The four-foot stranger stood in front of where Brice crouched in his hiding place. The stranger wiped off a bloody knife on his pant leg as he regarded Brice with a cold-eyed stare.
