• I dozed off and wished morning came late, so I could have a good rest. There's no way I'm missing work. Things might have been bad between me and Ethan, but work is work, and personal business had to be put aside. I woke up very early and dressed neatly, avoiding flaws. This time, I didn't have a morning smile on, since the previous night still haunted me. I just want to work with Ethan for the time being before I see another well-paying job. A moment with him wouldn't be a good thing.
• I got to work on time, and Ethan looked at me with a kind of new look, a version of his look I have never seen before. I ignored him and started the day's job. He looked calm and didn't ask me any personal question, and we both pretended that anything ever happened.
