Chapter 73 — A Toxic Presence

• In the past few days, I have been dealing with Emma and Thomas's constant provocations, something that has become routine whenever she visits Seattle, in addition to the demands of the company and, of course, the consideration of whether or not I should give up some of the independence I have gained, when considering Noah's tempting proposal.
• Finally, Mia's birthday in Boston, and the prospect of seeing Noah again, ended up forcing me to make a decision.
• Since I moved to Seattle, there have been few occasions when I visited Boston, as my mother and friends always come to see me. However, despite the anxiety I feel at the thought of what might happen there, I cannot help but congratulate my friend in person.
