• The car stopped in front of Brenda’s apartment, and we both got out, making our way towards the house. I held Kelly’s hand as we climbed the few steps leading to the door. Brenda unlocked it, and as soon as she pushed it open, my phone started ringing. I let go of Kelly’s hand, and she walked inside ahead of us.
