Chapter 64 Rough Confrontation
- After putting Kelly to bed, I closed the door softly, careful not to wake her, and walked down the hallway heading toward my room. I thought Ivan would be there already, probably waiting for me, but when I pushed open the door, the room was empty.
- I sighed, brushing my hand through my hair and gathering it into a ponytail. I slipped out of my knee-length gown and headed toward the bathroom for a quick shower. As soon as I stepped into the bathroom, I heard the door creak open. Assuming it was Ivan, I didn’t bother to check.

Just as I was about to reach the closet to grab my nightwear, I heard that voice, the one I always tried to convince myself was just in my head.
