Chapter 41

• For some seconds, she freezes on the spot with her eyes widen. She blinks her eyes twice to be sure that she's not dreaming, and hell yeah, it's not a dream.
• Slowly, her eyes close and she starts reciprocating the kiss. If this is a dream, then it better last forever. Her heart pumps violently against her chest as his soft lips send a spark through her body. Her breath hitches, but she tries to keep it in check and balance it.
• Meanwhile, Damien has his right hand at the back of her neck, and the other one on her waist, as he deepens the kiss. He so much wants to control himself and stop this, knowing he would regret it later, but the more he tries to resist her, the more he finds himself getting charmed by her lips and everything about her.
