• We all laughed at Nate's question including Ace. The next thirty minutes were filled with laughter and having Nate tease Marlie and Paul's relationship. While I avoided every possible question about Ace and I's relationship that Marlie seemed to be asking one after the other. I was praying that the dinner would be finished early and when it finally did I was internally rejoicing.
• "Do you want me to wash the dishes?" I asked Marlie. It was only right that I'd at least help out when she had done all the cooking without assistance.
