• I jumped off the counter, heart racing as I pushed Ace away from me. My eyes quickly search for the discarded thong and noticed it beside Ace's feet. I bent down quickly and had just grasped the material in my hands when there was a knock on the door.
• I quickly put the thong on nearly tripping in the process. I hissed at Ace to hide while walking towards the door. I found it strange that Nate had decided to knock on the door instead of entering like he usually did. But didn't want to linger on that thought.
