- I walked into Violet's room to find it empty. I wanted to ask her if she really wanted to join our parents for dinner outside. Hopefully, she'll agree with me to stay at home and let them enjoy their date.
- She wasn't in her room, probably getting ready in the bathroom. I turned to leave when I heard a quiet whimper.
