- Layla was squealing when she saw me at her door thirty minutes later. She pulled me into a hug and dragged me all the way to her room in excitement.
- "Brenda said you wouldn't come. She even made a bet with me," Layla said as soon as we got to her room, a pretty big one. It was decorated with various stickers and paintings.
