Chapter 7 School

• "What!? Listen here Athea! If I saw you on Monday I'll skin you alive! You made us so worried, freak!"
• "I think you need to breathe ?"
• "Y-you! Arghh!"
• Then I heard her trying to inhale and exhale. Okay I know I messed up bigtime but it's kinda funny hearing her calming herself. I can't help but I giggle.
• "Are you laughing at me?"
• "Of Course not Rose!"
• "I know damn well you Athea. Anyway, give us a very good reason why the hell you just disappeared!"
• "Okay, I'll tell you tomorrow in school."
• "No! Right now! Meet us at La cafe. Don't be late or I swear-!"
• "Okay..okay! I'll be there."
• "You gotta be! Bye!"
• "Bye.."
• I inhaled deeply. That was not what I'm expecting. I hurriedly changed my clothes but Oh! I remember my food. Oh God! My food. I lazily went back to the kitchen and said farewell to my food. "I'll be back and eat you all. I promise."
• I headed to the door and made sure the door was locked. "This is it."
• I arrived at La Cafe in just 5 minutes. I opened the door and I was welcome by my two angry friends. "Opps."
• "Good you're not late."
• I smile at Tina and sit in the available chair. Okay their looks that they were giving me send me creeps.
• "Hello there Athea! How's the party?" Lily shouted at us at the counter.
• "Great." That's all I can say.
• Stella served us three coffees and pies.
• "Now, care to explain?"
• I nervously look at Rose. I cleared my throat first and drank my coffee before I talked . "Well, first of all I'm sorry guys. It's not really really my intention to go home without you...but something terrible happened."
• "W-what!? What do you mean terrible!? What the hell Athea! You should have told us!" Rose's voice raised.
• "Let her explain first, Rose."
• "If you remembered guys, I told you that'll go to the bathroom...you two are enjoying the party so I searched it alone. After I asked many strangers I found it. I did my stuff and went out but the alcohol kicked me in..I was dazed and someone clapped my mouth, I was shocked. I can't even scream. The person carried me to the back of the house." I felt shivers remembering that.
• "Ohh my G-god!"
• Rose's eyes almost pop out while Tina's mouth is forming an "o" shape. Maybe because they're surprised by what happened.
• "I can't fight him. I was weak at that time. That someone pushed me hard to the ground and to my surprise it was Rex."
• "Damn him! I'll teach him a lesson." says Rose. The hatred is evident in her eyes.
• "And he tried to raped me..."
• "What!? Fuck him!" Tina's voice raised. The customers in the cafe look at us indifferently, even Lilly and Stella.
• I was surprised. Tina is calmer than Rose. I tried to fake a cough...Tina and Rose don't even care.
• "D-don't tell me..."
• "No, Rose..someone helped me. There's a guy there he beated Rex.."
• I heard them both inhaling deeply. "Oh my God, Athea! We’re sorry we didn't know...if only we knew..this is all our fault!"
• "It's not your fault Rose neither you Tina. It's just Rex...and what's important is that he didn't succeed."
• "Who is that guy who helped you? Maybe we knew him and we can say thank you.”
• "A-ahm, I don't know Tina. I can't remember his face. Actually he is not alone. He's with his two friends. They offered me a ride home and I couldn't say no to them since I was in a daze and fortunately I arrived at the apartment safe and unharmed. I can't even remember saying thank you to them because all I was thinking is to sleep.."
• I can see sympathy on their faces. "Ohh Athea.."
• "Don't worry guys. I'm fine now."
• "I promise you Athea, Rex will never touch you ever again. What he'd done is beyond too far. I will never tolerate him this time."
• "It's okay Rose..I think he've already learned his lesson."
• "I don't think so.." Rose mumbled.
• "What do you mean?"
• "Nothing..just promise us if anything happens again just call us immediately. Okay?"
• I just nodded at her.
• "Can you describe the face who helped you?" Tina asked.
• "A-ahm I-I can't..it was dark and if I tried to remember his face all I got was a headache..."
• "Are you sure nothing happened anymore?"
• I felt nervous. I'm sorry guys if I had to lie. "Nothing more. That's all I remembered."
• "Okay if you say so.."
• We eat in silence...and start talking again. Catching up what happened in the party and whose the guy they hooked up with.
• After we talked and caught things up we decided to go home.
• "Take care Athea..Are you sure you don't want us to drive you home?"
• "Naaah! My apartment is just a block away. C'mon guys!"
• "But-"
• "No buts guys! Don't worry if anything happens to me I'll call you.."
• "Okay..Bye Athea, take care."
• "You too, guys. Take care.."
• They get inside their own car and start driving while I start walking...I felt guilty lying to them but noo! I can't tell them what really happened. When I got home, I immediately went to my kitchen..when I saw the food waiting for me to eat I temporarily forgot all the problems I have.
• I start eating and savor the moment while it lasts. After I eat I clean the kitchen and take a quick shower. I lay on my bed and keep glancing at my door.
• "Sleep Athea! C'mmon I'm sure he wouldn't come. Stop expecting the impossible." I keep talking to myself. I didn't know how many times I would twist and turn until I fell asleep.
• I was awakened from my deep slumber by the constant ringing of my alarm. "Damn! Who the hell invented this alarm clock! It's so disturbing and annoying!"
• I lazily get up. It's already seven o'clock in the morning. "Oh Shit!" Immediately ran to the bathroom and did the quickest shower ever. How come my alarm clock is just an alarm at seven! For pity's sake. After taking a bath, I hurriedly went to the kitchen and ate some cereal.
• It's already 30 minutes to eight. No, I couldn't be late. I take a bus, 10 minutes from now the bell will ring. When the bus stops at our school. I ran fast not caring if I bump into many students. I know I look like a freakin' crazy.
• I am breathing heavily. Atlast, I was already in front of my classroom. Calm down Athea, relax...then I remember Rex. Oh God! My hand is trembling. Someone opened the room. Jeez..My classmates are starting to pile in. I calmly walk to my seat. I never bother to look around. I sit down, get my things and keep myself busy. The door opens again and I take a peek at who came in. It was him. He has faint bruises all over his face.
• I'm nervous as shit. I remember he was sitting at the back of my chair...but to my surprise he was seated far away from me. What the hell happened. Maybe he is playing a trick on me.
• Secretly, I keep on taking glances at him. I make sure that he's not looking my way. The door opened again. I know it was our professor now.
• The room went silent. First time ever. I was curious but I was too busy looking at Rex. Well, don't get me wrong, let me explain...my classmates are the most hard headed and jackass in school. So I'm surprised that they are silent.
• "Okay class, since Mr. Daxon has important matters to do. I will be your new temporary teacher."
• His voice sounds familiar. I tear my gaze from Rex when I look at our new teacher. I gasp. No, no, no! He can't be. How the hell did he get here? No way he couldn't be our teacher.
• "As your new teacher I'm expecting you all to cooperate. I don't tolerate misbehaving and disrespecting...because if you'll do..." He scans the room and stops at Rex. I saw him gulp . "you will face a very light consequence."
• I want to disappear right now. What if he recognizes me! Oh damn! And as of cue his eyes found mine.
• "But if you behave well, I am sure that you will have a very good grade.." then he smiled at me.
• Shit! Double shit! How could this happen to me? Can they just leave me alone!
• "Okay now, get your book and turn your page to 50."
• I got my book. I absentmindedly read whatever was written in the book. My thoughts and my mind are everywhere right now.
• "I believe all of you are finished reading. We will have a quiz."
• Is he fucking kidding me. I didn't even understand a single word there.
• "Okay now..we will start our quiz.."
• He keeps on asking questions. My paper is literally blank.
• "Time is up! Pass your paper."
• Okay. I don't think so, I will pass this empty paper. Five minutes more and the bell will ring.
• "Okay, you can go now..."
• I put my things inside my bag and got ready to exit.
• "Ms. Servances, you stay."
• I gulped. Why did he know my family name?
• "Yes, sir."
• When the students are outside already in the room. "Why didn't you pass your paper?"
• "I-I.." I try to reason out okay! It's just that I can't think straight.
• He raised his eyebrows. "I'll let it slide now, but next time I will not tolerate it unless you want to face the consequence."
• "Y-yes Sir.."
• "It's Vance. Sir Vance. You can go now.."
• "Okay sir thank you.." I calm my nerves and start walking to the door.
• "Oh, I forgot something. Evo said he's busy, that's why he can't visit you..if you need anything just call the number he gave you or just tell me."
• I stop on my track. What the hell is he talking about? I open the door and pretend I didn't hear him.Oh, Dear God help me.
