Chapter 57 The Car Belongs To Hugo
- Carol witnessed an entertaining show and was in high spirits. She left Hensea Group and returned to her apartment. On the way, she made a quick stop at the market to buy groceries. She wanted to celebrate tonight and wondered what Jayden enjoyed eating. She only discovered that Jayden didn't like green peppers, but she didn't see him being picky about anything else. It seemed like he had no dietary restrictions. Suddenly, Carol realized that she had been subconsciously thinking about this man and even started paying attention to his food preferences. It was quite peculiar. But these were all unconscious behaviors.
- Although she knew how to cook, David had never appreciated her culinary skills before. He preferred dining at fancy Western restaurants, thinking it was more prestigious. He had never tasted anything she cooked. Since she started living with Jayden, he would always finish his meals, which greatly motivated her to cook. A smile unconsciously formed on her lips.
- Carol bought a lot of things and struggled to carry them. She was like a busy wife, preparing a hot meal for her husband who was coming back from work. It was a happy chore, and she didn't think it was difficult at all. After leaving the market, Carol hesitated whether to take a taxi or public transportation to go back when suddenly a car stopped in front of her.
