• Alec arrived a few minutes after Evangeline and already found her lying under heavy covers. He approaches and sits next to her. Evie had the small photo of Juliane in her hands and wondered what her life would have been like next to her.
• "You’re her face." Alec comments. It was impossible to let that pass.
• "Do you think I would have had a different life?" Evangeline looks at him and upon realizing Alec’s confused expression, she sits down and rephrases her phrase. "Do you think if I’d been raised by her, I’d be different than I am today?”
