Chapter 5 Who Did It?

• Lisa’s POV
• When I returned home, it was already 9 p.m.
• To my surprise, my grandfather's caregiver Ran was waiting at my doorstep. Upon seeing me, He rushed towards me excitedly.
• "Lisa, thank God, you're back."
• "Ryan, why are you here? Did something urgent happen?"
• "Yes, Lisa! Two hours ago, I heard some doctors talking about the hospital was suddenly bought by a mysterious person, and that mystery person changed your grandfather's payment cycle from a month to a week! I called you immediately but your phone can not get through. So I came here to find you.”
• “What?! Where did you heard that?”
• “In the men’s room in the hospital. I swear I heard them say your grandfather's name.”
• I was shocked, and can not believe Ryan’s words at first. But soon I calmed down and guessed who the mystery person was. It must be Leonardo and he was deepening his revenge on me.
• I couldn't think beyond my anger and I decided to go straight to confront him.
• When I found him, Lewis and Lucy were with him. They seemed to be discussing something cheerful.
• I glanced at Lucy but without a word. Then I went straight to Leonardo and asked him loudly.
• "Why did you do that? My grandpa was innocent! You've already taken away his company? Do you still have to take his life?!"
• Leonardo, surprised by my question, raised his eyebrows and Look at me.
• "I did do anything to your grandpa today. Whatever happened, you came to the wrong person.”
• "Liar! I just got word. A mysterious man bought the hospital and planed to target my grandfather. Who else could it be besides you?! "
• As I glared angrily at Leonardo, suddenly Lewis, who was beside him, coughed. We all turned to look at him and saw him eating a piece of pink mousse cake, similar to the one I had eaten earlier that night!
• Leonardo was surprised, and asked Lewis, "I thought you didn't like sweets?"
• "I changed my taste. The sweet flavor reminds me of love."
• Lewis smiled to Leonardo, but his eyes were fixed on me.
• Leonardo looked at Lewis and then at me. Several seconds later, he said to me, “Lisa, it is not me. It is him.”
• "What?! Why?!" I stared at Lewis in disbelief, never expecting the truth to be like this.
• Leonardo just looked up, smiled lightly at me, and then asked me, "Miss Smith, do I need to report the reason I invest in a hospital to you?"
• "Then why did you change my grandpa’s payment cycle?!"
• "Miss Smith, do I need to report my business strategies to you?"
• “......”
• I took a deep breath, trying to suppress my anger, then apologized to him.
• "Mr. Evens, if I unintentionally offended you, I apologize."
• Hearing my apology, Lewis frowned slightly and then said, "You didn't offend me. I'm not retaliating against you. I just wanted to have some fun."
• With these words, he stood up, and left. I immediately planned to follow him. But Lucy stopped me.
• "Lisa, don't chase after Lewis. You're not his type, and I believe you don't want to be my replacement.
• Leonardo didn't intend to trouble you. He just wants to know where my sister is hiding. As long as you hand over my sister, Leonardo will spare you and your grandfather. Then Smith Trust will not need to go bankrupt, and Colin won't abandon you. "
• Hearing Lucy’s words, my anger flared up. Lucy was Mr. Brown's illegitimate daughter and came to the Brown family 10 years ago. The whole Brown families treated her very well, but she choose to betray them and help Leonardo take the Brown’s fortune.
• I stared at her sarcastically and said, "Your are right. I don't want to be your replacement, but you seem eager to be Sofia's replacement. How does it feel to realize Leonardo ended up falling love for Sofia?"
• I know Leonardo has a twisted love for Sofia, and this love is something Lucy can't have no matter how much she desires it. Hearing I reminding she's not as cherished in Leonardo's heart as Sofia, Lucy's face turned pale in an instant. But I no longer paid attention to her. I just quickly went to pursue Lewis.
• In the parking lot, Lewis seemed to be waiting for me by the car. As I approached, his previously dark expression finally turned into a smug smile.
• "Next time you come out this late, I won't wait for you."
• With that, he suddenly pulled me into his arms and began kissing me passionately. I was I was shocked by his sudden move, but I didn't dare resist.
