• Inside the nondescript building stood a sharp contrast to its simple fa?ade. The air was tense and long shadows created by dim lights stretched across the naked walls. With her senses sharpened, Alexandra's footsteps resounded as she moved down the hall.
• She came upon a single door under guard by a man with a severe look at the end of the corridor. His eyes evaluated the newcomer head to toe. He opened the door silently, exposing a little, poorly lit room where Isabella waited.
