Chapter 41
- Felicity flipped through the pages in front of her. She smiled to herself. After sleeping an entire day, she’d gotten up and puttered around in a hazy state for a few hours; working out the kinks of not moving for so many hours. She’d been sitting sipping her coffee and reading her email, she hadn’t bothered to even read while they were chasing kidnappers around; then the idea came to her and for the last thirty or so hours she’d been working diligently at it. An entire new children’s series had just popped into her head, and she’d been working at a frantic pace trying to get caught up with it.
- She hadn’t realized how much she’d been just settling with the other series she’d been working on for several years now. It had been a long, long time since she’d had any new inspirations. It felt great, so refreshing it energized her. Spinning her chair around, she got up and headed to make tea. Sketches for characters were spread out all over the table and parts of the counter; she’d stayed up drawing until almost dawn before having a short nap and getting back to it again.
- While the kettle boiled, she stood there and looked out the window at the grey day. The weather outside might be dull, but the sun was shining inside these walls today she thought. She’d called Jac earlier to see how she was doing. Assuring her that in another day or so she’d be back to one hundred percent, despite Reid complaining in the background. Doing so much had really taken a toll on her, but Reid seemed to be nagging her back to full health.
