Chapter 11 Feeling Disappointed

• After waiting in the lobby with Yuna for a while, a tall man in a short-sleeved shirt approached us. “Jericho, Yuna, follow me,” he said curtly, turning without waiting for a reply. Yuna and I exchanged a quick glance before hurrying to keep up. He led us up to the third floor via a narrow staircase at the side of the building.
• When the room’s door opened, I was stunned. The design studio was vast, filled with rows of monitors on long tables, their screens glowing with colorful images. People sat focused, typing or moving their mice, the silence broken only by clicks and the faint hum of the AC.
• The man guided us to a corner where three empty computers stood side by side. “This is your spot,” he said, standing before us with arms crossed. “I’m Yanto, your team leader. Your task today is simple: follow the brief on the desktop, create the design as instructed, and save the file. We’ll continue tomorrow. Any questions?” His voice was firm but not harsh.
